This is my third pair of JIV undies and I wish I had gotten the mid rise before the high rise. While I love the high rise, they tend to peak out over the top of my high waisted leggings in the back. I appreciate that these do not do this, however they are slightly more noticeable under the leggings. This is because I feel like they are slightly more fitted that the high rise. My hips kind of pop out under the fabric on the sides, causing it to be slightly more noticeable under lighter colored leggings. If you are considering JIV underwear for the gym, I would highly recommend getting a pair or two. Things to keep in mind:
- if you have a short torso like me and often hike your underwear up, consider the mid rise
- if you don’t want any noticeable lines across hips and glutes, consider sizing up for the mid rise
I purchased a small in both the high and mid rise and probably could’ve gotten away with mediums in the mid rise. I appreciate having a smaller size in the high rise because it is more snatching to the waist area since they are higher. I am 5’8”, 145-150lbs, 28.5” waist, 38” hips, athletic build with not a huge butt. If you have wide hips with a lot of- how do I say- “padding” around the hip crease area, consider sizing up in the mid rise panties so you don’t have visible lines cutting into that area.
JIV customer service is top notch and I will recommend this brand to anyone with a perpetual cameltoe problem looking for a high quality solution. I wear mine everyday…
